Body Mass Index (BMI) Reporting
Beginning in the 2010-2011 school year the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education, consistent with the implementation phase of the BMI screening regulations (105 CMR 200.000), is requiring all school districts to notify parents/guardians the results of BMI screenings conducted in schools. Reports of BMI screenings will be sent to the parents/guardians of all students in grades 1, 4, 7, & 10.
