 Adopt-A-Family Food Pantry & Closet Kids-In-Need

To All Norwell Schools:

With the new school year approaching, we would like to follow up on the offer to have the Friends of Norwell (Kids in Need, Adopt a Family and The Food Pantry) be included in students back to school packets. This way parents are able to check off that they would be interested in receiving information about all the different ways we are available to help. Many families may start out the year without any financial issues but as time passes we all know that situations can change. We also realize that some families may not be aware of the services we offer, whether new to the town or may never have had any need for assistance.

There is so much we can do to help so many, but we need the help of the school system to reach these families in need, and who are often times too timid to ask for help. Thank you and I hope everyone had a great summer.

Some of the things The Friends of Norwell are able to help with:

*Weekly food give out on Thursday's from 2-4 pm (located in the Town Hall). Families are able to come every week

*Thanksgiving baskets

* Adopt a Family program providing Christmas assistance

*Assistance with field trips and other school activities

*School Supplies

*Winter clothing when needed

And some important dates:

Food Pantry weekly food give out - Thursdays 2-4 pm

Thank you for your assistance,

Alicia M. Tedeschi President
