Norwell, MA   The Osborne Baseball Field Improvement construction project will begin on Monday 10/21/19.  The ballfield and areas adjacent (including The Pathway) will be active construction sites effective Monday 10/21/19 7:00am-3:00pm until further notice.  Individuals should not enter the construction area at any time.  Work is being performed by Green Acres Landscaping and overseen by Gale & Associates and the Town of Norwell.

During construction, the ballfield area will be closed with temporary fencing.  Pathway users should be aware that segments may be closed or they may be diverted around the construction site using the Middle School Parking Lot, Bridge into the Osborne Soccer Field and around the ballfield.   Signage will be posted directing pathway users to an alternate route.

The Town of Norwell approved the expenditure of Community Preservation Act Funds at the 2019 Annual Town Meeting for the purposes of improvements to the baseball field to meet Little League specifications.   The Recreation Department is excited about the increased functionality of the field as well as safety and accessibility improvements afforded to the Town by this Community Preservation Project.  The Town of Norwell requests that no individuals enter the ballfield area as it will be an active work site for approximately 4-6 weeks.  For more information, please contact the Recreation Department at 781 659-8046.
