Special Education Parent Advisory Council:  The Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) is a district-wide
organization of parents that supports the total special education community.  The SEPAC members provide guidance and
assistance to parents, staff, the community and special needs students.  Parents may contact the school or the Student Services

Norwell Recreation Department

Norwell Arts:  The Norwell Arts is a parent association formed to advocate for the importance of arts education for all students, build awareness in the community of the many arts performances and events that occur in our schools, and raise funds to support art, theatre, and music programs of the Norwell Public Schools. Norwell Arts Website

Norwell Education Foundation (NEF):  The Norwell Education Foundation (NEF) is a non-profit corporation whose purpose is to support
educational activities and programs that encourage academic excellence for all students in the Norwell Public Schools.  Annually, NEF grants
are awarded to Norwell Public Schools educators on a competitive basis.  Programs throughout the grade levels (PreK-12) have received

The Norwell Public Library serves as an educational and recreational resource for all residents of the town of Norwell. The Norwell Public Library provides materials and services to help community residents obtain information to meet their educational, professional, and personal needs.

The Friends of Norwell was created to assist families and children in Norwell.

The Norwell Food Pantry has been in existence since 1991, serving families with the support of local churches, businesses and individuals.

The James Library & Center for the Arts is a nonprofit organization offering programs in music, art, and literature. Housed in a landmark 1874 Victorian building in the heart of historic Norwell Center, the James features a concert hall with a Steinway B grand piano, a free lending library, and an art gallery offering new exhibits each month.

The James is a vibrant place within the South Shore arts community with its active music instruction schedule, a stream of library patrons visiting daily, and activities offered throughout the year.

The Norwell High School Booster Club needs YOU! The NHS Boosters is a non-profit, parent-driven volunteer organization dedicated to supporting all Norwell High School teams. The Booster Club is here to assist and support our athletes and coaches with this enormous effort. 100% of the funds raised go toward supporting our athletes with scholarships, training, coaching and equipment. Our organization and fundraising efforts support all boys’ and girls’ sports teams equally with purchases that strengthen current and future programs.

School Improvement Councils:  The Education Reform Act of 1993 mandated that school councils be formed at every school. 
A school council has a role in shaping the policies and programs of the schools.  The school council is comprised of the principal,
teacher representatives, parent representatives, and a community representative, and at the secondary level, students. 
These groups meet monthly to review school budgets, formulate school improvement plans, and advise the school principal.
