Kindergarten Registration
Registration & Documentation: Registration is done online using our Aspen Student Information system and may require in person submission of certified documents.
- Online Registration will be done via the Aspen Student Information System Parent Portal beginning in January of 2026 for the 2026-2027 school year. If you have questions or need assistance with the online registration you can wait until after the parent night on February 26th where the process will be reviewed and questions answered.
- Documentation submission includes the following:
- Birth Certificate
- Proof of Residency (tax bill, mortgage statement, lease agreement, purchase & sales). In the event that a family is residing with another family member or friend, the following Landlord/Shared Tenancies Residency Affidavit must be completed.
- Most recent physical from pediatrician/family doctor including immunization records.
- Copy of Custody or Guardianship, if applicable

Online Registration: Starts January 2026 for the K class of 2026-2027
Kindergarten Parent Orientation: February 26, 2026 at 5:00 PM there will be an Orientation and Registration Information Meeting for parents of all incoming kindergarten students at both the Cole and Vinal Elementary Schools. The kindergarten teachers, school nurse, school counselor, member of the PTO, and the principal will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. Additionally, more information for the Open House scheduled for all Kindergarten students on the first day of school in September will be forthcoming.
The following letters were emailed or mailed to families of known Kindergarten students for the 2026-2027 school year. If you did not receive this letter please contact Kathy Lynch at kathleen.lynch@norwellschools.org so we can add you to any communications in the interim between now and the orientation night.

Other important kindergarten events
Bus routes are completed in August.
Class placement is sent home by mail in July.
Kindergarten Open House: September (1st day of school for grades 1-12).
