Children who turn 5 before September 1st are eligible to enroll in kindergarten for that year in the Norwell Public Schools. Parents who feel their child would benefit from postponing kindergarten entrance should contact their elementary school’s principal to discuss the kindergarten waiver process. Students whose parents choose to postpone registration until a student is six years old without prior approval of a Kindergarten Entrance Age Waiver will enter into the first grade with his or her chronological peers.

2025-2026 Kindergarten Enrollment

Norwell Public Schools is currently making significant updates to our registration system by transitioning it directly into our Aspen student information system. This change will not be fully implemented until March of 2025.

If your child is of Kindergarten age next school year please fill out the survey below to indicate whether they will be attending Norwell Public Schools and provide us with your contact information so we can contact you once registration is available. Your response will help us estimate enrollment numbers for both half-day and full-day kindergarten programs.
