Clipper Leadership Academy 2018-2019
Clipper Leadership Academy: Overview
In the past we have awarded leadership opportunities through various selection processes across athletics, clubs, student government, and award societies. It is our intention to shift the methodology from awarding leadership to developing leadership. The intention is to teach the appropriate leadership skills that can be applied in the various opportunities at Norwell High School. In addition to learning lifelong skills it is our hope that we see a positive impact to our school culture.
Starting during the 2019-2020 school year students must maintain membership status to be eligible for a formal leadership role at Norwell High School. Such roles include elected student government positions, peer leadership program, athletic captainship, and club president(s). If you are selected to a leadership role during the school year, you are eligible to enroll as a year one member immediately.
Clipper Leadership Academy: Mission Statement
The mission of the Clipper Leadership Academy is to provide Norwell High School students with leadership skill development opportunities that foster ethical behavior, emphasize social responsibility, promote positive interpersonal communication and build an inclusive community.
