Schoology Learning Management System
A Learning Management System (LMS) is a software program that allows teachers and students to more easily communicate, access, and maximize digital instructional materials and electronic resources. Simply put, the electronic Learning environment is able to be more easily Managed by a Software program, an LMS. Changing technologies, updated electronic resources, expanded access to instructional tools and devices are part of today’s educational landscape. While there are definite advantages, organizing, and accessing numerous apps, lessons, usernames and passwords have become increasingly challenging for students and teachers. An LMS is able to address and streamline these challenges. With the flexibility of implementation appropriate to elementary, middle and high school teachers and students, the districtwide integration of an LMS is a powerful educational tool.
Norwell Public Schools uses the Learning Management System, Schoology. Schoology was carefully vetted by a team of instructional technology specialists, teachers, and administrators. Schoology was deemed to be the most effective platform for our community of users.

Schoology Home Page: Your Parent account compared to your child's Schoology information
Having a Parent account in Schoology is actually like having two accounts:
- Your personal account, with your own name and information;
- Your Child Activity view. From here, you can view Schoology from your child’s perspective, and see what he or she sees, and receive updates about his or her activity.
Start by clicking on the arrow in the upper-right corner, next to your name, and then select your child’s name to switch into his or her account. The check mark in the drop-down menu indicates which account you are currently viewing.
