Volunteering in the Classroom

  • Families of kindergarten students are welcome to volunteer at their child's school. Family members can volunteer in a number of ways, including: time in the computer lab, projects in the classroom, lessons in the outdoor classroom, and field trips. Your child's teacher will inform you of specific opportunities to volunteer once the school year begins. Please don't hesitate to ask!

If you would like to volunteer to work in your child’s classroom or assist with school events, you will need to submit a Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) Acknowledgement Form and be fingerprinted.

    CORI form
Complete the CORI form and bring it to the office at your child’s school with photo identification (driver’s license). The school will take your form and photocopy your photo identification. A CORI form must be completed every three years.

    Fingerprinting
Information about fingerprinting can be found here.

All visitors to the Cole and Vinal Schools must ring the buzzer at the front door and wait to be admitted to the building. Visitors must sign in at the main office and receive a visitor’s pass.
