In order to register for kindergarten, students are required to have an up-to-date physical examination and the following immunizations:
- 3 doses Hepatitis B
- 5 doses DTaP
- 4 doses Polio
- 2 doses Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR)
- 2 doses Varicella vaccine
Parents are also asked to submit lead screening information for their child, including the month, day, and year of the screening and the result.
Allergies/health concerns
Parents of students with allergies are asked to notify their child’s school of any allergies or health concerns before the start of kindergarten.Routine health screenings
Routine health screenings occur in the fall of kindergarten. This includes vision, hearing, and growth screenings.Other important health information
Kindergarten students are asked to have a backpack large enough to fit all school materials. They will be asked to bring in cold-weather apparel during the winter for going outside at recess, including clothing suitable for snow. Full-day kindergarten students are asked to bring in a towel for rest time.
