    The Norwell Public School System is committed to practicing and promoting environmental 
    consciousness in its schools in order to enhance sustainability of Norwell's natural resources.

    What's Going on in Our Schools?
     
    Cole Elementary
    • paper and plastic recycling
    • composting the classroom snack debris (Thanks to the Recycling Committee for donating the composting containers) 
    • updating The Hatch Pond Nature Center (Thanks to Devin Uhlman for improving signage, replacing benches & posts, and clearing the overgrowth on the trails for his Eagle Scout project)
    • gardening group 
     
    Vinal Elementary
    • paper and plastic recycling
    • composting the classroom snack debris (Thanks to the Recycling Committee for donating the composting containers) 
    • updating our Nature Trails (Thanks to Steve McClelland for improving signage, replacing benches & posts, and updating the brochure for the trail for his Eagle Scout project)
    • rain barrels have been added to the potting shed to collect water for the gardens
