About UsThe role of the PTO at Vinal is to support and enhance the educational experience of all our students, and to strengthen the sense of community amongst all members of our school. We accomplish these goals by organizing in-school and community programs that reinforce the school’s core values of respect, kindness, responsibility, and risk-taking; by funding mini grants and appreciation programs for teachers; and by promoting and encouraging open lines of communication between home and school.
All parents and guardians of students currently enrolled at Vinal are considered members of the PTO, and we encourage you to attend a meeting or volunteer at any time. What the PTO does…
Last year, thanks to the generous donations of our Vinal School families, the PTO funded many programs and initiatives including the following:
- In School Enrichment programs for all students including visits from the Mass Audubon Society, the Museum of Science, and the Tanglewood Marionettes.
- Teacher Mini Grant Awards
- Student transportation for all field trips.
- Parent evenings with child development and parenting experts.
- Commissioning of artist Bren Bataclan to lead a school-wide art enrichment program that resulted in the new mural in the upper class stairwell.
- With the help of various local businesses, the design and installation of new landscaping in the front of the school.
- Purchasing math and reading educational support tools for teachers.
