Letter to Families from Superintendent Keegan, 3/30/20

  • March 30, 2020

    Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope everyone is safe and healthy. Attached below is a letter from the Commissioner of the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Jeffrey C. Riley. This letter is to parents and guardians outlining the Commissioner’s guidance for Massachusetts Public Education.

Last Thursday, families received a letter outlining how Norwell Public Schools will move forward in relation to the Commissioner’s guidance. This week you will receive additional information from each building principal. All of our educators have been working diligently to prepare a new structure for remote learning that will begin on Monday, April 6th. We truly hope you will encourage your children to engage in this learning opportunity as we work to prepare students for their next grade level. The success of this transition will be enhanced by everyone coming together as a learning community. As the Commissioner states, “We are all in this together, working on behalf of our children.”

    Sincerely,

Matthew A. Keegan Superintendent of Schools
