| Description of Activity:
What is the learning experience? What will teachers and students do during
the course of the activity? Through what performances or products will
students demonstrate what they know and are able to do? Students will choose a country from a given list. The students are to be ambassadors to the U.N. from one of these countries. Their responsibility is to educate their colleagues from other nations about their country. They will do this with a PowerPoint presentation. One of the sources from which this information will be accessed is the Internet. All sources will be cited. |

What strategies are recommended regarding logistics, preparation, classroom
management, or other implementation concerns? Students will have access to current information about their countries. Because there is an abundance of information, they will have to learn how to locate, evaluate, collect, and process this information. Print sources available in the Library cannot be as current as the Internet. Collaboration between the classroom teacher and the librarian is essential. |
