Description of Activity: What is the learning experience? What will teachers and students do during the course of the activity? Through what performances or products will students demonstrate what they know and are able to do?

Students are studying the culture and history of the United States and Canada. They have to identify, briefly explain, and prioritize major historical events in the history of the United States and Canada. Students will enter their key facts into the TimeLiner software program. Students will arrange their information in various formats, and add relevant pictures and graphics.

Technology Standards Addressed: This learning activity will allow students to develop proficiency in the following Norwell Public Schools technology standards:

Have students complete data worksheet BEFORE entering computer lab, so that the lab time is not used for researching through their book and notes. Demonstrate software if the students haven't used it before.
