Description of Activity: What is the learning experience? What will teachers and students do during the course of the activity? Through what performances or products will students demonstrate what they know and are able to do?

Students will look at different social scenarios for instructed times. Students will have a presentation of social opportunities available to them during unstructured time. The reinforcement of respecting peers personal space, control of tone of voice, and facial expressions.

Technology Standards Addressed: This learning activity will allow students to develop proficiency in the following Norwell Public Schools technology standards:

Social stories reflect goals on student IEP. Social skills are reinforced using a variety of mediums. Model examples are photographs, videos, and black line drawings. Multiple presentations of like social situations allow students to generalized concepts. Using technology resources for problem-solving, self-directed learning and extended learning activities.

Computer in classroom, access to scanner, and digital camera

mPower, PowerPoint, Max Show, Boardmaker

Stories may be created for students by teacher to reflect students individual need, or to be used by many students.
