| Description of Activity:
What is the learning experience? What will teachers and students do during
the course of the activity? Through what performances or products will
students demonstrate what they know and are able to do? Students will create a short book with a beginning, middle, and end. To make their book they will design at least three Kid Pix slides with illustrations, text boxes, and background/stamps. Once the students have created their slides they will organize them into a slideshow with transitions, music, and appropriate timing. |

Teacher Tips and Notes:
What strategies are recommended regarding logistics, preparation, classroom
management, or other implementation concerns? Students have to be familiar with Kid Pix and basic key boarding skills, as well as early writing skills. Students need to be reminded to log in under their name. Students should make a graphic organizer or outline prior to beginning the slide show. Inspiration or paper organizers could be used. |
