| Description of Activity:
What is the learning experience? What will teachers and students do during
the course of the activity? Through what performances or products will
students demonstrate what they know and are able to do? The students will use Kid Pix to design an archive of activities and events from the school year. This will be an ongoing project beginning in September and added to as each curriculum unit is presented. Students will plan, organize, write, illustrate and develop this project. The class will be taught the basics of Kid Pix. As their capabilities increase their involvement will also increase. |

activity address? 1. Present a design solution through speaking, drawing, and writing. 2. Contribute knowledge in class discussion to develop the frameworks for a class project. 3. Write well organized compositions with a beginning, middle, and end, drawing on a variety of strategies as needed to generate and organize ideas. 4. Revise their writing to improve level of detail, to identify missing information and to determine logical sequence. 5. Create age appropriate media productions for display or transmission. |

Teacher Tips and Notes:
What strategies are recommended regarding logistics, preparation, classroom
management, or other implementation concerns? Students have to be familiar with Kid Pix and basic key boarding skills as well as early writing skills to participate. At the beginning of this project much of the input will be with the help of the teacher. As the year unfolds more of the pages will be student created. |
