Grade Level(s): 2 Subject Area: Language Arts
Description of Activity: What is the learning experience? What will teachers and students do during the course of the activity? Through what performances or products will students demonstrate what they know and are able to do?

Using the Inspiration program, the teacher assigns a topic/main idea and the children web ideas that fit into the category. Children can also include pictures that match their ideas.

Category ideas: animals on a farm, animals in a zoo, animals in the jungle, animals that fly, animals that swim.

Winter activities, spring activities, summer activities, fall activities

Sports that use water, sports that use a ball, sports using a team, sports played by yourself

Technology Standards Addressed: This learning activity will allow students to develop proficiency in the following Norwell Public Schools technology standards:

Teacher Tips and Notes: What strategies are recommended regarding logistics, preparation, classroom management, or other implementation concerns?

It is best if the children know how the program works before beginning. They need to know how to use rapid fire or how to add additional circles. To add  pictures, they need to know how to drag and place the pictures as well as shrink the pictures to an appropriate size.
