Standard 19- Students will write a letter to their mother for Mother's Day in the template for cards on Jan Brett's web site. Student's will use correct grammar, spelling and punctuation in their composition.

Students  visit Jan Brett's web site-www.janbrett.com

1. Go to  Homepage and click on Print Your Own Cards and Letters

2. Click on Mother's Day

3. Select card design

4. Student's type a letter to their mother for Mother's Day. 5. Print card.

 Teacher Tips and Notes: What strategies are recommended regarding logistics, preparation, classroom management, or other implementation concerns?

Have students write a rough draft prior to typing the final copy in the computer lab.
