Learning Activity Title: Interpretation of Class Pet Graph
Grade Level(s):1 Subject Area: Math
Description of Activity: What is the learning experience? What will teachers and students do during the course of the activity? Through what performances or products will students demonstrate what they know and are able to do?

The students will vote for their favorite animal. The four most popular animal groups will be used to create the graph in The Graph Club. When the students are finished creating the graph reflecting the class vote they will write a paragraph about the favorite animals in this activity.. Students can easily create and self correct their individual work in both the graph and the written paragraph.
