BUS ROUTES PDF VERSION
Bus routes for the 2012 – 2013 school year are detailed below. Review the routes carefully as there have been changes. Routes detailed below by school provide: (1) Starting time for each route. (2) General route the bus will follow. (3) Specific stops that are planned. Buses will not stop between the designated stops. Published routes and stops are subject to change. All bus routes will be reviewed during the 2012-2013 school year. Major changes will be communicated to parents and students before being implemented.
To ensure safe and efficient student transportation, all students should be at their designated bus stop 5 minutes prior to the arrival of the bus. This will help minimize the time each student spends on the bus. Morning kindergarten students being returned home at midday will not be allowed to disembark unless an adult is visible to the driver to receive the student. If an adult is not present, the student will be returned to his/her school and the principal will call parents or guardians to arrange pick-up.
The first couple of weeks are a new experience for many students. Safety requires a slower operation until students and drivers become familiar with the routes and the procedures during pick-up and dismissal. As the drivers become familiar with the routes, pick-up and drop-off times may be adjusted as needed to provide safe and timely service.
Note: Transportation issues and/or questions regarding bus routes, schedules, procedures or complaints should not be directed to the bus driver. The bus driver must keep his/her attention on all of the students and surrounding traffic. The simplest of conversations with the driver divert his/her attention away from the safety of the students. All questions should be directed to the appropriate principal’s office or the superintendent’s office.
