Administration Welcome

On behalf of our middle school community I would like to welcome you to Norwell Middle School’s web page. As the school’s educational leader, I would like to take this opportunity to convey to you that our community is strongly committed to the middle school philosophy as described in Turning Points - Preparing Youth for the 21st Century, a document nationally published by the Carnegie Foundation of New York. One could best characterize our educational commitment as being student-centered with a strong emphasis placed on academic excellence.

A rigorous program of studies that features both core and exploratory subjects are offered to our students. Some of our offerings include, but are not limited to, World Languages (Latin, French, Spanish), English/Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, Technology, Family and Consumer Science, as well as, Physical Education, Art and Music. It is through our program offerings that we are able to rigorously challenge our students to succeed and excel in the academic arena.

As we pursue excellence at the middle level, I would like to extend an invitation to you to become an active participant in our educational community. Your suggestions, thoughts, ideas, and yes, criticism are essential contributors in our quest for educational excellence.

Best Regards,
Rudy Borgueta, Principal
