SCHOOL YEAR 2006 – 2007 BUS ROUTES

The below listed Bus Routes for School Year 2006 – 2007 provide (1) the starting time for each route, (2) the general route the bus will follow and (3) the specific stops that are planned. Buses will not stop between the designated stops. These routes and stops are subject to change if unforeseen circumstances occur. Major changes will be communicated to parents and students before being implemented.

To ensure safe and efficient student transportation, all students should be at their designated bus stop prior to the arrival of the bus. This will help ensure that the time each student spends on the bus is minimized. Morning kindergarten students being returned home at mid-day will not be allowed to disembark unless an adult is available to receive the student. If an adult in not present, the student will be returned to his/her school and the principal will call parents or guardians to arrange pick-up.

The first couple of weeks are a new experience for many students. Safety requires a slower operation until students and drivers become familiar with the routes and the procedures during pick-up and dismissal. As the drivers become familiar with the routes, pick-up and drop-off times will be adjusted as needed. Our goal is to provide safe and timely service.

Please note: Transportation issues and/or questions regarding bus routes, schedules, procedures or complaints should not be directed to the Bus Driver. The Bus Driver must keep his/her attention on all of the students and surrounding traffic. The simplest of conversations with the driver divert his/her attention away from the safety of the students. All questions should be directed to the appropriate Principal’s office or the Superintendent’s office. Thank you for your cooperation.
